Network & Services

Roadstar’s INET Loudoun network features high performance fiber-optic level speeds using licensed E-Band Millimeter Wave technology. The Loudoun County headquartered company is one of the first ISP’s to earn the national FCC license to commercially utilize equipment using this exciting new technology.

Robust and redundant connectivity are keystones of the INET Loudoun and Roadstar Internet Network. Two of the nation’s top-rated collocation facilities–Savvis and Equinix– are located in Loudoun and allow us to be capable of not only meeting today’s needs, but also effortlessly accommodating the dramatically increasing bit-rate demands of tomorrows applications. This is a critical need for Loudoun County’s business and surrounding areas communities because of the dramatic continuing population and businesses explosion and accompanying high-speed data connectivity. needs.

Network facility location goes hand-in-hand by locating INET Loudoun network Points of Presence in strategic locations throught Loudoun County. Roadstar is able to use a strategy of “coloection” of technologies to complete the critical “final mile” connectivity to end user locations.

Complementing all of the licensed and unlicensed wireless technologies available within the INET Loudoun network is Roadstar’s unique partnership with Verizon. This affiliation allows Roadstar Internet to bring the services of INET Loudoun to locations that previously could not connected directly connected to INET Loudoun using wireless technology.

INET Loudoun allows Roadstar Internet to provide a cost effective solution to just about any location requiring dependable very high speed connectivity to the Internet.

Our Network
True Wireless Broadband

High Capacity Backbone Network
The Roadstar network utilizes state-of-the-art wireless technology to provide end-to-end control over the entire network. Roadstar is committed to using the best technology necessary to deliver its broadband services.

High-Capacity Backbone
Our Redundant Network

Roadstar’s INET Loudoun network is a redundant, high-capacity, wireless fiber-optic speed backbone ring not only encircling Loudoun County, but also key connectivity areas. Using Metro Routing Protocols in our Foundry Networks core routers we provide commercial-grade reliability to all clients, even in the event of multiple failures in the network.

Roadstar Internet and INET Loudoun utilize a constantly increasing number of relay points throughout the county and elsewhere to not only increase our service areas, but also act as multiple pathways for signal distribution. These relay points include mountain areas and other natural high points, low-profile antennas on in-place structures such as barns, silos, buildings and in-place towers used by other agencies for their radio communications. Roadstar Internet also utilizes the lowest profile possible receiving antennas on homes and businesses so as not to detract from the area’s ambiance.

Quality of Service and Bandwidth
Our Promise to You

While some Internet connectivity providers charge their customers “up-to” or “best effort” speeds that may or may not maintain consistent advertised (and paid for) speeds, Roadstar guarantees each business customer contractually guaranteed bandwidth with no excuses. The network accomplishes this by utilizing a continuously monitored, high performance bandwidth management system. It prioritizes and enforces bandwidth policies between the customer, distribution point and the Internet peering facility to ensure that each customer receives the contracted capacity.
